British actor George Cole was best known for playing smalltime conman Arthur Daley in the hit 1980s TV show Minder. Minder ran on ITV for 10 series between 1979 and 1994, but Cole had a 70-year career on stage, in film and on TV, also known for his Flash Harry in St Trinian’s and appearances in TV show UFO
