Letter: 'We were 12 fairly cynical young singers, but John Graham won us over'

I was a member of the professional choir at St Peter's, Eaton Square, London, when John Graham (Araucaria, obituary, 27 November) was rector. We were 12 fairly cynical young singers doing our church job – and secreting novels under our robes for diversion during the sermon. John won us over immediately. He was one of us. And his attitude to spirituality and the church was all-embracing and engaging. We all adored him.
