When I was in my last year at high school in Ballinasloe, Co Galway, Cliff Morgan came to show us the 1956 film of the Lions tour of South Africa. Afterwards, he sat us in a circle and asked for comments and questions. At that time I looked at the world through goalposts and thought that there wasn't a world outside rugby. Someone asked Cliff where rugby came in his list of priorities. He replied that the game came after family, friends, health, music and choirs.
